Recent changes to the lobbying law require every lobbyist to include in their statement of registration the names, home addresses and home telephone numbers of any officer or employee who engages in lobbying or who is employed in an organization’s lobbying division. The e filing system, as presently constituted, does not allow a filer to automatically repopulate the list of employees in the process of registering additional clients. To spare our filers the burden of manually repopulating the data each time, we suggest the following modification in filing for lobbyists with numerous clients: Until further notice, such filers are advised to list all requisite employees when registering the first client and to only list one employee associated with that particular client when registering subsequent clients.
